This
Model is made by Volks and I acquired it at JafCon 96 because at that
time I couldn't buy the HolyBell Version of Belldandy (only in 2000 I
had the Holybell one for free !!!). The model is well sculpted and easy
to assembly , the connections are precise ,only the hair tail wasn't so
good (exceed of resin at the base of connection) but no problem to fix.
I started to make her in mid 1999 and only this Summer (2001) I finished
painting the model as seen on photos. In a first time I hadn't a good
idea for the dress, the picture of the box is with an all metallic like
blue that didn't convince me. This summer then I have seen somewhere (I
don't remember where) a model with a white base dress with all shadows
made with light blue tones. So I made the dress with a white base with
Games Workshop bottle and I made the shadows with clear blue from Gunze
(more light) and Tamiya (little darker) to finish with a mix between blue
and red clear Tamiya to make some more dark shadows. The flesh tone is
light because beeing a Goddess it coudn't be different. I liked this work
and I'm thinking to the HolyBell and how to make the Dress tones and the
Angel Wings....hmmm!!. |
