RX-78
GP01
Bandai 1/144
Here is the Jetpack , I used putty to close mold lines and reconstruced
the two saber holders with pieces of plasticard.

On the foots I have sanded the sides and I made with plasticard the design
of the sole with also a truster copied in resin. The upper part of the
legs has been extended with 3mm of plasticard. I also put a tissue Tube
on the front part. For the hip parts and armors I reconstructed all parts
with plasticard and I also used BallJoint (from Wave) to have a more easy
positioning model. For the upper part of body I cutted away the Cockpit
access and reconstructed with plasticard.

The shoulder part has been detailed better than original with the front
sensors and the neck plate. The head wasn't touched apart the antenna
(made with telephone cord) and the neck made with milliput putty.

With this works the model look like the one I admired on the gundam WEAPONS
2 book made by Manabu Kimura. I wanted to make him stand ,on the base
I constructed with plasticard and made rough with putty, as if he was
on his first battle against the RX-78 GP02A. To color him I used Gunze
colors and I made a Wash of oil colors . Here you can see some shots of
the finished model. This has been published on the Hobby Japan 10/1996
at page 37.
