This is one of the first serious customizing of a plastic model I have done. I have seen the construction plan on a HobbyJapan special about "0080 War in the pocket" gundam serie and beeing the first time on this kind of work I found some problems on how to do (I don't read Japanese so I could only look at photos and try). The Final result has given me satisfaction and I obtained what I was looking for. In a first time I only build the Zaku FZ without weathering it, but after some imploringly from my friend marco I started the diorama base with the scrachbuilding of the Test Truck (I used the designs of the truck you see on the first episode of "0083Stardust Memories"). I Worked for about 10-12 hours on the truck but as you can see it's very similar to the original one.



Some of the customizing work I have done you can find on the Tips&Tricks section with design plans (translated on my personal experience). This is the Zaku I like more than all others and the work to customize this was very machinator but beeing my first big work I learned a lot. The main works were; Lengthen legs, close the rear of the sideshield, remake the legs tubing, Cutting and repanneling the backpack, the torso has been tightened in the upper part, the front skirts were all cutted away and detailed on the back, reconstructed the left hand that is open (the original was was very bad), and I carved from plasticard the front antenna (making this a commander unit). Also the trusters have been detailed.



I'm now working on a new customizing of another ZakuFZ. It would be the scene where Aru founds the Zaku on a downhill between the trees with the hatch open and Bernie pointing his gun to him. I hope you liked this model as I done.
