How to make Cables

To make your own power cables you need something like , colors (Black and Metal), Brush (one for drybrush), Metal Wire (Elettrical, telephone or any other type and size you need). Here you can see the telephone wire I used for the example . I peeled off the cable and prepared two pieces, one with more lenght than I need and the other about the double of the first one.



On the shorter of the two cables I started to roll up the second on as in the figure to cover it.
You can see in the figure that we have now a tight little coil and we can take out the internal wire or otherwise leave it to have more strenght.



Now we Make the lenght and the form we want (put near the model to take the right size and route. At this time we color it with some black color.



When the black color is dry , we can use the drybrush technique. You take a rectangular brush ,you put a little amount of metallic color on it and rub on a towel untill you see only a little part of color on it. Now you can rub the brush on the wire as in the figure and you may see more plain the texture of the coil. You may rub the brush more times to make better view. Here you can see the wire completed .and ready for the application.
