Scissors, Pincers, Pliers & Tweezers
These
are tools that you may have seen on all days works in home or garage.
On the basic modelling work you don't need all, but it's good to know
where to find when you need them.
(ATTENTION
!! If you are Under 16 years ask to an adult to help you because some
tools are very dangerous !!)
1)
Little scissors that I found on a home sartorial kit, very usefull
on most works, not to use on cutting sprue or heavy pieces. Good to
cut masking tape Frisket, better if they are very sharp.
2) This are cutting pliers for electronics but they are very good
for snipping of the pieces of the models from the mold sprues. Usefull
also for cutting little pieces of metal rods (under 1mm diam.)
3) These are more heavy pliers that I use to cut the metal rods (more
than 1mm diam.) necessary for help gluing togheter heavy resin parts
or to make model stand on a diorama.
4) These are scissors for electrician that are good for heavy works
as cardboard or plastic planes. Usefull everywhere.

A)
These Pliers have a curved beak and are good to place things in strange
points with a tight area.
B)
These are special pliers that I use to make little rings with small
metal rod, they are usefull also for other work, It's your taste how
to use them.
C) These are little size clamps that are very usefull for a lot of
situations as bending metal rods or foils, crush togheter some hard
joints ecc. You wouldn't need the first times but one or another you
should search them.
D) These are little Pliers that I taked from an old emergency kit,
they are short and with a little grip area. I like these type because
the long type has too soft grip and in some circumstances I couldn't
position well some small pieces. It's your taste to find the better
one for you. |
