Clamps
These are tools that you could use every time you work on your models
to hold pieces, to help gluing them, to hold a piece when you paint and
many other.
It's only your fantasy that stops the lot of uses you can do with them
,Let see everyone.

1)
Clothes Pins - The ones with the springs in them, make excellent clamps
for fuselages and other parts, get about six to eight on your workbench.
2) Elettrical Pins - These are good for retaining the smaller pieces.
Usually I use also Clothes pins to make them stand and retain things I
have to paint.
3) Pins with parallel planes that are good to retain pieces that have
to be pressed in equal mode on all the surface.
4) These pins are very strong ones, and I use for warped pieces of plastic
that I have to glue togheter. I advice you to find some good ones because
you could always find some difficult parts to hold or press.
5)
These are smaller elettrical pins than the first we have seen and I fixed
them on some old brush handles and they are good for small pieces to work
on or to paint.
6)
Elastics - these are good for a lot of works, I think there is no need
to explain how to use them.
| This
is an old product that was sold in USA with the name of BlueTac and
it's a soft sticky rubber that is good for a lot of applications.
I usaully use it to fix my models on the base of the box where i transport
them and I can assure you that it fixes them very well. If you put
a little piece on a sprue you can hold small parts to be glued or
painted. I should advice you to search for it because it's very usefull
for a lot of things. A must for modelers. |
