Here
starts the variuos utilites section where we can find a lot of ways to
make your own tools with many objects or materials you can find around.
1) Sanding tool
Here is the first tool we see, let me explain the use: you have a figure
with the two legs that have a seam line on the inside part and you haven't
too much space to use the finger and the sand paper, so I found an image
of this kind of tool on an american and a Japanese modelling book usefull
to work better but too much expensive, so I scratchbuilt it. You need
only a steel rod of 2-3mm diameter, sandpaper of the grit needed and a
stapler you can see in the
next photos how I built it and you can make of varius sizes.
You
have to bend the rod in an "U" form (with the size needed) with
two "L" bends at each end of the rod as shown in figure. Now
you only need to cut some strips of sand paper and stinged as you can
see in photo and the tool is ready for work.
